Unveiling the Future: Protean Software’s 2024 Features

Protean Software has always been at the forefront of the curve in the ever-changing field service management landscape. With the anticipated updates that will enhance overall productivity whilst streamlining operations, 2024 is set to be no different.

Response Times 2.0

Protean Software is introducing an advanced feature in Response Times, allowing users to set precise response times for each job type. This granular control ensures that your team can tailor their approach based on the unique demands of different job categories.

A new ‘Response Times’ tab on the customer form lets users customise response expectations. Override defaults at site and customer levels for unmatched flexibility in meeting client needs.

Users will be able to set In & Out of Hours values for each job type, optimising response times for different time frames. This customisation equips your team to efficiently handle diverse work scenarios.

Dynamic job due date calculation with maintenance contracts, site-level parameters, and job type specifics will ensure deadlines align with contracts and job requirements.

DRS 2.0

Protean Software’s Dynamic Route Scheduling (DRS) will be updated to DRS 2.0 incorporating labour budget hours into the planner. This enhancement ensures that your workforce is efficiently allocated, preventing overcommitment or underutilisation of resources.

DRS 2.0 will also enable users to take engineer skills into account, ensuring tasks are assigned to personnel based on expertise, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The updates to the DRS will also include adaptive scheduling with real-time traffic and enhanced filters for planning. Adapting to current traffic conditions will minimise delays, whilst refined filtering allows users to focus on specific criteria for a more streamlined scheduling process.

Supplier Attributes

Protean Software now extends its attribute system to suppliers, providing a comprehensive view of supplier-related information. Users can store diverse data types such as text, memo, number, date, yes/no, and list values against suppliers, ensuring all pertinent details are easily accessible.

Users will also be able to search and filter suppliers based on attribute values. This feature will empower users to find the right suppliers for specific requirements quickly, streamlining the procurement process.

In conclusion, Protean Software’s 2024 updates mark a significant step forward in field service management technology. From precise response time management to dynamic resource scheduling and comprehensive supplier attribute tracking, these features are designed to empower businesses to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.
